Green Tip {Tuesday}

* Dish cloths by Eco Kate

Ditch the kitchen sponge. Sponges are bacteria incubators, in Ellen Sandbeck's book Organic Housekeeping, she writes " scientist collected and tested sponges and dishrags from one thousand kitchens and five American cities. They found dangerous bacteria, including E. Coli, salmonella, pseudomonas, and staphylococcus, which can cause food poisoning, living in two-thirds of the sponges tested." I use organic washcloths and dishtowels that can be washed daily.
