Join a CSA, or Community Supported Agriculture program. This is when you buy a "share" in a local farms harvest. Usually you receive a share each week, sometimes it can be monthly. Our family did this last summer and we had a great experience. The kids loved visiting the farm each week and seeing the various farm animals.
