i needed to hear that!
last night i got tired of throwing away pounds of catalogues i never wanted in the first place, so i went online & asked them to remove me from their lists. if they don't send it to me, i don't have to throw anything away or spend money on crap i don't need. (i felt pretty smug when i was done, too!)
